Job Title: Health and Safety Officer
Salary Range: £24,223 to £26,298 per annum (pro-rata) or £11,784 to £12,734 per annum for the part-time role.
Job Type: Permanent - Part Time, 18.5 hours per week
The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health and Safety Officer to join our team at Barnsley College. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our staff and students.
Main Responsibilities:
* To develop, implement, and maintain effective health and safety policies and procedures
* To conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and take corrective action
* To provide training and guidance to staff on health and safety matters
* To investigate accidents and incidents, identifying root causes and implementing measures to prevent recurrence
* To collaborate with senior management to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations
