Full Time Medical Receptionist/Administrator Vacancy
ChristianaHartley Medical Practice requires an experienced, full time medical receptionist/administratorto join our well established and busy surgery team.
We are lookingfor a motivated, hardworking individual with excellent communication skills;who is able to work under pressure and with initiative. Excellent skills are required.

Main duties of the job
Duties include the following:
1. Opening up/locking-up of Practice premises and maintaining security in accordance with Practice protocols
2. Meet and greet patients in a professional and courteous manner.
3. Processing personal and telephone requests for appointments, visits and telephone consultations. Ensuring callers are directed to the appropriate healthcare professional.
4. Processing and distributing incoming (and outgoing) mail
5. Taking messages and passing on information
6. Use practice emails and intranet, while adhering to strict guidelines.
7. Processing repeat prescriptions in accordance with Practice guidelines.
8. Computer data entry/data allocation and collation; processing and recording information in accordance with Practice procedures.
9. To signpost patients to other services, where appropriate.
10. Comply with health and safety policies and procedures

Job Summary:
The purpose of the role is to:
Offer general assistance to the Practice team andproject a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either inperson or via the telephone
Receive, assist and direct patients in accessingthe appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficientand effective way
Undertake a variety of administrative duties toassist in the smooth running of the Practice including the provision ofsecretarial and clerical support to clinical staff and other members of the Practiceteam
Facilitate effective communication betweenpatients, members the primary health care team, secondary care and otherassociated healthcare agencies

11. Reception and administration experience in a healthcare setting.

12. Experience of working in a GP practice.
