Job summary Hingham Surgery is looking to appoint a deputy practice manager to help lead our organisation on a full-time basis for 37.5 hours per week. If you have experience of working with the general public and ideally leading multidisciplinary teams and for a new challenge, then we would love to hear from you. Main duties of the job Oversee the patient navigation operations of the practice, ensuring staff achieve their primary responsibilities. Oversee the provision of quick, efficient, and accurate dispensing of medication to patients, and to ensure effective financial control of the dispensary. Work closely with clinical staff to ensure the smooth running of the practice, reporting any problems encountered to the relevant person. Provide leadership, support and training for current and new staff ensuring that data quality guidelines are understood and adhered to. Ensuring staff adhere to policy and procedure at all times. Manage the maintenance of the holiday register for reception and dispensary staff. Manage the diary for all clinicians holidays, meetings etc and to make sure all the information is incorporated into the appointment schedules. Organise any locum or internal staff cover needed for doctors, nurses, or administration teams. Provide support to the practice manager in project work, and in the running of key systems and procedures such as payroll, pensions, accounts and health and safety. Arrange for contractors to carry out any urgent repairs needed to the building. About us Hingham is a beautiful small market town with a Georgian marketplace.
