Person Specification
Education/Qualification
Essential Criteria
1. BSc Degree In Podiatric Medicine or Diploma (if qualified prior to 1991)
2. Evidence of continual professional and personal development
3. Registration with the Health Professions Council
4. Certificate in local anaesthesia
Desirable Criteria
1. Evidence of post grad training in specialist area of podiatry
Experience
Essential Criteria
1. Post graduate clinical experience of multidisciplinary and interagency working
2. Experience of working with a wide range of patient and disease/pathology types including the at-risk and high-risk foot
3. Experience of working as part of a specialist team (clinical rotation experience accepted)
Desirable Criteria
1. Experience of working in an NHS environment
2. Experience of clinical supervision/mentoring
3. Experience of service development
Skills and Knowledge
Essential Criteria
1. Experience of service development
2. Full knowledge of podiatric theory and practice
3. Knowledge of foot orthotic design and manufacture
4. Knowledge of CoP code of conduct
5. Understanding of Clinical Governance - theory and practice
6. Up-to-date knowledge of clinical issues and treatment development
7. IT Skills including use of Internet, email, Word Processing
Desirable Criteria
1. Presentation Skills / Experience at delivering Health Promotion
