About the Role
Northumbria Coast and Country Cottages have an opportunity for a Housekeeper to join their Seahouses housekeeping team. Our Housekeepers are a key support function in facilitating the operational requirements for our local Brand managed properties, ensuring properties are presented and maintained to a high standard to maximize guest experience.

* Paying a salary up to £22,308 per annum working 37.5 hours over 5 days out of 7, including Saturdays.

As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for checking our properties for cleanliness, identifying any maintenance issues, responding to any shortfalls, and recognizing areas that need remedial attention, which would affect the quality of service we provide, feeding back to suppliers where necessary.
You will be actively involved in the daily operations of the Brand Managed Services housekeeping team, ensuring high standards are upheld to deliver an exceptional guest experience. As part of a rota, you will also provide out-of-hours assistance to property owners and guests.
Your Responsibilities
A typical day will see you:
* Ensuring all allocated properties are visited and inspected within required timeframes.
* Ensuring the allocated property portfolio is presented to the highest standard at all times.
* Identifying any maintenance issues and reporting for repair in a timely manner.
* Following up to ensure any shortfalls or repairs have been carried out in the required timeframes.
* Building strong relationships with suppliers and cleaners.
* Assisting in the preparation of linen for changeover days.
* Controlling the return of dirty linen.
* Ensuring cleanliness standards are consistently met.
* Taking delivery of the hire linen from the supplier.
* Responding to and successfully resolving any guest issues.
* Completing any day-to-day administration tasks.
* Providing feedback to cleaners on standards and areas of improvement.
* Ensuring policies and procedures are followed, including COSHH and manual handling.
Skills and Qualifications
A full, clean driving license is essential as part of this role, along with passionate maintenance skills, teamwork, and excellent work ethics.
While experience in a similar role is advantageous, we will provide everything you need to succeed, training you within our bustling team and supporting you every step of the way!

* IT literate – MS Office and databases.
* Full & clean driving license.
Although standouts will also have:
* Previous Housekeeping Experience.
* Knowledge of basic property maintenance.
* Knowledge of COSHH and manual handling.
* Strong local knowledge.
