Data & adtech have never been more important within a marketing team to maximise success. Changes in the digital and media landscapes have fuelled this, and we’re looking for someone to implement our strategy in this space. They will collaborate with our media agency and key internal teams such as our newly-formed Martech team to bring this to life to enable giffgaff’s setup to be right not just for now, but also many years in the future.
We’re looking for someone who will be able to work closely with teams across the company to implement marketing technology solutions that support data-driven decision making and contribute to marketing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Working with marketing teams & internal stakeholders to understand challenges & opportunities within the digital and marketing spaces.
* Collaborate in the development of digital media strategies that align with our business objectives and data strategy.
* Implement strategies for collecting, managing, and effectively utilising first-party data to personalise campaigns and enhance targeting that create improved media efficiencies as a result.
* Organise our data sharing activities so that we can understand its incremental impact and value creation.
* Forge and nurture strategic collaborations with media agencies and key partners, unlocking the full potential of our first-party data assets.
* Implement & oversee ad tech tools and platforms to maximise the effectiveness of our digital advertising efforts and its integration.
* Lead the implementation of our digital maturity framework within the business to unlock greater capabilities and achieve greater digital maturity across key pillars.
* Partner with our media agency to enable an aligned set up across our external marketing team and internal data teams.
* Be the voice & champion for digital marketing strategies and capabilities alongside our agency within our martech/wider data science team.
* Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including a dedicated martech team, alongside marketing, BI, legal and data science, to align efforts and deliver the right initiatives.
* Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, driving innovation in digital media and marketing practices.

The Must Haves
* Experience of working with data teams internally to deliver solutions for marketing.
* Examples of 1st party data integrations with paid media platforms.
* Experience either agency or client side working within digital media, ideally with experience within performance media across PPC and/or Paid Social.
* Attention to detail and the willingness to get stuck into data and processes to identify areas for improvement.
* Confident in articulating use cases and applications for data within the digital platforms and in pushing back on those that are not viable.
* Strong collaboration and project management skills.
* Having worked with a custom data platform to achieve omnichannel marketing success.
* Ideally experience working with adtech or martech showing demonstrable business impact as a result.
The Other Stuff We Are Looking For
* A curious mindset who is eager to learn and implement innovative solutions.
* An understanding of and experience using digital tools such as GA.
