Your role Take ownership of our analytics services, enabling real-time transaction insights, data visualization, and actionable intelligence. As a Software Engineer, you will build robust analytics pipelines, integrate data for compliance and underwriting, and contribute to developing features for our AI Financial Advisor Chat. This role is perfect for someone passionate about delivering high-performance analytics systems that empower decision-making and enhance user experience. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and create scalable, reliable solutions. Your responsibilities In this role you’ll be: Designing and implementing real-time analytics systems using Clickhouse, PostgreSQL, and AWS. Developing ETL pipelines to aggregate and transform data for use in financial dashboards, AI tools, compliance checks, and underwriting processes. Building scalable APIs to expose analytics in the form of graphs, tables, and interactive dashboards for our web app. Collaborating with data scientists and AI engineers to integrate analytics into our AI Financial Advisor Chat and optimize user insights. Ensuring analytics systems comply with regulatory requirements to reduce user risk and build strong ICP (Ideal Customer Profile) profiles. Enhancing underwriting processes with data-driven solutions to enable revenue-based financing. Within 1 month you'll: Familiarize yourself with the existing analytics infrastructure and identify key areas for improvement. Deliver your first enhancement to our analytics pipeline, improving data accuracy or real-time performance. Collaborate on initial designs for API integration with web app dashboards and AI systems. Within 3 months you'll: Roll out real-time transaction analytics features, enabling insights to be displayed as graphs and tables in the web app. Build the foundation for data integration into underwriting and compliance workflows. Mentor other engineers in analytics best practices, increasing the team’s productivity and technical capability. Within 6 months you'll: Launch a fully optimized analytics pipeline, enabling seamless integration with dashboards, AI systems, and compliance workflows. Establish robust data systems for underwriting processes, significantly improving risk assessment and financing decisions. Play a key role in enhancing the performance and reliability of analytics systems, setting a high standard for scalability and quality. Your qualifications What we need to see Extensive Experience : Several years of backend software engineering experience with a focus on analytics systems. Technical Expertise : Strong hands-on experience with Clickhouse, AWS, Elixir, PostgreSQL, and ETL pipelines. Data-Driven Development : Proficiency in building real-time analytics pipelines and delivering actionable insights through APIs. Data Visualization : Experience in creating dashboards with graphs and tables to display financial and transaction data. Compliance Knowledge : Understanding of compliance workflows and reducing user risk through analytics. Collaboration : Strong communication and teamwork skills, particularly in cross-departmental projects with data scientists and product teams. Ownership : Demonstrated ability to take initiative and deliver scalable, maintainable solutions on time. Security Practices : Solid understanding of data security, access control, and regulatory compliance. What we'd love to see AI Integration Experience : Familiarity with integrating analytics into AI-driven tools and platforms. Underwriting Expertise : Experience with data systems supporting financial underwriting and risk assessment. Real-Time Systems : Expertise in building and optimizing real-time data pipelines for high-volume use cases. Mentorship Skills : Interest in mentoring team members and contributing to the growth of the analytics team. Adaptability : Thrives in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and evolving challenges. Your tool stack Tech stack: Clickhouse for high-performance analytical database queries. AWS for infrastructure and data pipeline services (Lambda, S3, ECS, Redshift). Elixir for scalable real-time data processing and backend development. PostgreSQL for transactional database management. ETL Pipelines : Experience with Extract, Transform, Load processes for integrating data sources. Data Visualization : Proficiency with tools and frameworks for creating graphs and tables in web applications. API Integration : Building APIs to expose analytics for web app dashboards and AI tools. Skills: Expertise in real-time analytics for financial and transaction data. Proficiency in ETL workflows to aggregate, transform, and streamline data for multiple use cases. Strong understanding of data pipelines and optimization for real-time performance. Knowledge of data-driven AI applications to support chat-based financial advisors, risk reduction, and underwriting processes. Ability to implement data compliance measures to minimize user risk and ensure regulatory adherence. Strong debugging, optimization, and unit testing skills for high-reliability systems.
