Sales Coordinator/ Estimator - Job Description
Location: Huddersfield, Free on-site parking.
Salary: £37,000 - £40,000 per annum
We are looking for a Sales Administrator / Estimator to join a reputable and growing manufacturing / engineering business in Huddersfield.
As a Sales Coordinator/ Estimator, you will play a crucial role in providing accurate and competitive pricing estimates for clients. This is not a sales position; it's the administration and client support around orders and estimates. This position acts as a liaison between the sales team, customers, and other internal departments.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Processing sales orders accurately and efficiently.
2. Serving as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries, providing responses via phone, email, or in-person meetings.
3. Maintaining sales databases and systems, updating customer information, tracking sales activities, and generating reports as needed.
4. Cultivating positive relationships with customers, addressing their needs and concerns promptly and professionally to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
5. Collaborating with other departments such as marketing, finance, and operations to streamline processes, resolve issues, and support overall business objectives.
6. Evaluating customer requirements: Collaborating with the sales team to understand customer needs and requirements for products or services.
7. Cost analysis: Analyzing production costs, including materials, labor, and overhead expenses, to develop accurate pricing estimates.
8. Preparing proposals: Generating detailed cost estimates and proposals tailored to each client's specifications and budget constraints.
Experience:
1. Previous experience in sales support, customer service, or administrative roles is advantageous.
2. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-focused approach and the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
4. Attention to detail in handling sales documentation, data entry, and customer correspondence.
5. Problem-solving skills, solid analytical skills, and good attention to detail.
6. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and support colleagues to achieve common goals.
7. Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
Pay, Benefits and Hours of Work:
1. A basic salary of up to £40,000 per annum.
2. Monday-Thursday: 8:00am to 5:00pm; Fridays: 8:30am to 3:00pm.
3. Free on-site parking.
4. 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
5. Stakeholder pension scheme.
6. Eligible for EBITDA bonus scheme.
