If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you A thriving primary school in Crawley is looking for an exceptional Teaching Assistant to provide long-term support for students with SEN, starting in January 2025. Role Overview: Provide tailored support to students with diverse SEN needs, implementing individualised learning plans. Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff to deliver coordinated and effective learning strategies. Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and well-being. Maintain open communication with parents, caregivers, and professionals to ensure holistic student support. Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in adjusting teaching methods to meet the needs of each student. What We're Looking For: Experience in SEN: Proven experience working with students with various SEN, including (list specific needs such as autism, learning difficulties, or physical disabilities). Passion & Empathy: A genuine passion for helping students with SEN and a deep understanding of their unique needs. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities for effective interaction with students, teachers, and parents. Team-Oriented: A collaborative mindset and the ability to work well within a supportive team. Patience & Understanding: A calm and patient approach to working with students with diverse emotional and learning needs. Creative & Resourceful: The ability to think outside the box and use innovative methods to support student success. Qualifications: GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths. Relevant school experience is highly desirable. Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification preferred (or equivalent experience). SEN experience is essential.
