The Apprentice Service & Maintenance Technician Program offers you the opportunity to develop your career with one of the world's most prestigious companies and work alongside some of Britain's brightest young talent, as well as the chance to "earn while you learn". Training is delivered on a residential block release basis at the ProVQ Training Centre in Shrewsbury and the Toyota/Lexus Academy in Burnaston, Derbyshire. The program targets high-caliber individuals seeking to start a professional automotive career. Upon successful completion, you will earn the Apprenticeship Standard Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician (Light Vehicle) Level 3 qualification.
You will earn from Day 1 with a competitive annual salary, and upon graduation, you will receive a benefits package and performance-related bonuses.
* Participate in all scheduled training activities at the Toyota/Lexus Academy and the Atcham Training Centre.
* Keep learning activities up to date and prepare for learner reviews with your Manager, Mentor & Learning & Development Advisor.
* Perform foundational tasks related to service and repair procedures.
* Contribute to a safe and efficient workshop environment.
* Access wiring diagrams, technical data, and vehicle repair information.
* Use diagnostic, mechanical, and electrical measuring equipment.
* Inspect and prepare vehicles to high industry standards.
* Remove, repair, or replace components per manufacturer’s specifications.
* Investigate vehicle faults and identify underlying causes.
* Apply diagnostic principles and problem-solving techniques using diagnostic tools and testing regimes.
* Participate in activities that promote the dealership and attract new customers.
