About the Role: Teach Spanish across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching at Key Stage 5 depending on your professional development and interests. Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities, ensuring all students are challenged and supported to make excellent progress in Spanish. Utilize a range of interactive and communicative teaching methods, incorporating technology, authentic resources, and cultural activities to bring the Spanish language and culture to life for students. Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, set targets, and provide constructive feedback to support individual learning journeys. Contribute to the department's curriculum development and resource creation, ensuring that our Spanish curriculum remains relevant, challenging, and engaging for all students. Foster a love of Spanish language and culture in students, encouraging them to participate in language exchanges, cultural events, and consider further studies or careers involving Spanish. Work collaboratively with colleagues in the department and across the school to create a cohesive, supportive, and stimulating learning environment where students thrive. Participate in professional development opportunities, including our comprehensive ECT induction program, to enhance your teaching practice, keep abreast of the latest developments in MFL education, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of the MFL department. Ideal Candidate: Holds QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification. Possesses excellent subject knowledge in Spanish language and culture. Demonstrates a passion for teaching Modern Foreign Languages and a commitment to student success. Has strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills. Is confident in building rapport with students and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Has a good understanding of the National Curriculum for MFL and relevant examination specifications. Is committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
