Our client is a well-established, large organisation Based in Newbury, who pride themselves in providing innovative solutions and sustainable practices.
Job Description
* Cashbook reconciliation for multiple bank accounts and balance sheet reconciliations using Excel spreadsheets
* Processing and coding credit card transactions and personal expense claims
* Maintaining fixed asset register
* Raising manual invoices
* Making payments
* Processing journals
* Monthly Intrastat and EC Sales,
* Accounting for accruals and prepayments,
* Set up new supplier accounts and maintain existing account details within the purchase ledger
* Liaising with credit controller
* Assisting with preparation for year end
* Ad hoc accounts payable queries as required.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Accounts Assistant should have:
* A degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
* Proven experience in a similar role
* Understanding of principles and practices of basic accounting
* Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software
* Strong organisational and time-management skills
* Attention to detail with an aptitude for numbers
