Job summary This post is for a Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist to join the Whole Family Team with Perinatal Specialism (WFT-P). The WFT-P is a highly specialist service offering psychological therapy to families during pregnancy and with babies, toddlers and children up to the age of 5 years. The team comprises of Clinical Psychology, Child and Educational Psychology, Systemic Family Psychotherapy, Child Psychotherapy and Psychiatry. The team is set up to work with families who might fall through the gaps in other services and/or have a complexrelationship to help. The WFT-P is co-located within Camden Children Centre Services and is designed to work closely with other early years professionals including, Family Support, Social Work and Health Visiting. The WFT-P specialises in working with families facing complex difficulties, who may have be working with several professionals and may struggle to access community services. We provide specialist interventions for families where there are issues related to complex trauma and attachment. In addition to offering direct interventions, the WFS offers a large amount of consultation and risk support (under the thrive model) to other professionals workingwith children, young people and their families. Main duties of the job The post will involve offering consultation, assessment and intervention to families referred to the service.In addition to clinical activities, this post will involve supporting the Perinatal Mental Health Lead within the service, who is leading on the development on the implementation and delivery of Best Start for Baby (BSFB) which is an Enhanced Healthy Child Programme (EHCP).The EHCP is a universal health visiting provision offered to all new parents and their babies. It entails enhanced three monthly contacts in a clinic-based setting with the family up until the baby is 18 months.The PNMH Lead will be leading on this and the post holder will work closely with them to support implementation. The post holder will also support more junior clinicians working in BSFB. This post will also entail being involved in local campaigns focused on de-stigmatising perinatal mental health difficulties.
