The working hours of the role will be Monday to Friday 9am to 5.15pm.

The role:
The main purpose of the job is to provide administrative support to the fee earners in the Commercial department. This role is crucial for enhancing efficiency across the department but also the firm as a whole.
Key duties and responsibilities:
1. File inception including client onboarding and conducting KYC checks, completing compliance requirements.
2. Manage correspondence received and organise into files as needed.
3. Managing diaries and monitoring inboxes for Fee Earners.
4. Liaising with clients and other parties in transactions.
5. Manage and create datarooms.
6. Organise external and internal meetings (in-person & virtually).
7. Upkeep aged debts and residual balances.
8. Draft and prepare necessary documents as directed by Fee Earners.
9. Conduct Property Searches.
10. Manage post-completion matters.
11. Submit Stamp Duty Returns.
12. Submit Land Registry Applications.
13. Submit Companies House filings.
14. File closures and file and deed storage.
15. Wherever and whenever possible, using best endeavours to promote the firm.
16. Encourage new clients to the firm.
The appropriate candidate will have the following skills and attributes:
1. Understanding of law.
2. Previous knowledge of Land Registry and Stamp Duty applications.
3. Knowledge of legal procedures.
4. Computer skills to include a good working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite.
5. Adaptability and flexibility.
6. Organisation and prioritisation.
7. Professional telephone manner and good people skills.
8. Accuracy and attention to detail.
9. Excellent communication, ability to converse with a diverse range of people at all levels.
