We seek a self-motivated Housing Solicitor/Legal Executive with housing law experience to join our in-house legal team, handling tenancy and leasehold management issues such as possession, disrepair, anti-social behaviour, and service charge disputes.
This role offers the opportunity to work within a passionate legal team, contributing to social housing law and shaping our Legal Services' future.
The Role
* Provide comprehensive legal support to the Housing Services and Property Directorates on tenancy and leasehold law.
* Represent the Trust in court proceedings, acting as advocate in County and Magistrates’ Courts and Residential Property Tribunal.
* Assist in drafting housing management policies, preparing training materials, and delivering in-house legal training on relevant issues.
Requirements
* Solicitor admission in England & Wales or Fellowship of The Institute of Legal Executives (FILEX).
* At least 3 years PQE in housing law, representing social landlords and tenants, from private practice, local authority, or in-house legal team.
* Strong knowledge of housing and leasehold legislation, case law, and litigation procedures.
