Employment Solicitor
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Employment Lawyer to join a well-regarded and expanding legal team based near Dudley. This full-time position offers a varied and engaging caseload across both contentious and non-contentious employment law matters.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality legal advice and representation to a diverse client base, including individuals and businesses of varying sizes. Key responsibilities include:
1. Advising on a wide range of employment law matters, including employment contracts, redundancy, disciplinary and grievance procedures, TUPE, and tribunal claims
2. Managing contentious matters from initial consultations to representation in employment tribunals
3. Issuing tribunal claims and engaging in ACAS Early Conciliation processes
4. Drafting and negotiating settlement agreements
5. Delivering pragmatic, commercially focused legal solutions
6. Collaborating effectively with colleagues across departments to ensure exceptional client service
Candidate Profile
Applicants should demonstrate:
1. A minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience in employment law, with employment matters as a primary area of practice
2. Strong technical expertise across both contentious and non-contentious matters
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
4. The ability to manage a busy caseload independently and work effectively within a team
5. Proficiency in negotiation and drafting
