We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in working with various materials, particularly sheet metal. This role involves fabricating and assembling metal components to meet precise specifications, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
Duties
1. Fabricate metal components using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
2. Assemble fabricated parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.
3. Perform stick welding and other welding techniques to join metal pieces securely.
4. Operate machinery and equipment safely while maintaining a clean and organised work environment.
5. Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards.
6. Utilise basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
7. Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance productivity.
Experience
1. Proven experience in metal fabrication, particularly with sheet metal.
2. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various hand tools and power tools effectively.
3. Familiarity with TIG and MIG welding.
4. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
5. Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations are essential.
6. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining safety standards in the workplace.
