Full time Static Band 6 Senior Physiotherapist - Rehab AGH
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about delivering rehabilitation to older people/patients. The post holder will work on Waterside Ward, rehabilitation service primarily based at Amersham Hospital.
We pride ourselves on integrated team working and strive for best clinical practice. The post holder will have the opportunity to enhance their frailty assessments and rehabilitation skills with support from band 7 Advanced Physiotherapist Specialist in Rehabilitation. We strongly encourage an evidence-based approach and support staff through supervision and appraisal. There is a strong emphasis on student education. Attendance at post graduate courses is also supported.
Candidates will be expected to join and partake in emergency on-call rota and weekend working rotas, therefore previous experience of working within a respiratory or intensive care field is essential.
Main duties of the job
To perform assessment and treatment for patients with complex needs, and to provide advice, guidance and information to health and social care professionals, carers and relatives and other non-professionals.
To undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner.
To participate in continuing professional and service development and contribute to organisational objectives.
To participate in weekend working as part of contractual hours.

Qualifications, education and training
Essential
1. Current registration with Health Professions Council
2. Diploma/Degree in Physiotherapy
3. Evidence of CPD in the form of a detailed personal development portfolio
Desirable
1. MCSP Membership
2. Specific formal courses appropriate to post specialty

4. Field work/clinical educators course
Experience
Essential
1. Experience of at least 18 months in a junior rotational Physiotherapy post
2. Previous experience in core physiotherapy specialties including acute inpatient care, respiratory, Musculoskeletal and neurology
3. Attendance at post graduate courses in related fields and demonstrates reflective learning
4. Experience of managing own caseload and prioritizing
5. Ability to work and interact effectively within an interdisciplinary team and contribute to decision making
6. Evidence of commitment to continuing professional development, and reflective practice
7. Knowledge and application of evidence based practice and clinical reasoning
8. Establish and maintain CPD Portfolio
9. Experience of on-call and weekend working in an acute NHS Hospital
