Collaborate with Housekeeping, Front office, and other departments to perform hands on maintenance tasks as needed to resolve maintenance issues efficiently. Conduct regular checks and inspections of hotel property, systems, and equipment to ensure proper functioning and compliance. Ensure all work complies with brand standards and health and safety regulations. To ensure that the planned preventative maintenance programme is adhered to, and the tasks completed in a timely manner. Assign, track, and follow up on work orders to ensure timely completion. Assist in scheduling, training, and supervising maintenance team members. Supervising the team to comply with the safety regulations in order to create a safe environment for guests and colleagues. Promoting teamwork and lifestyle service through daily communication and coordination with other teams. Ordering tools and supplies in a timely and efficient manner to minimise waste and to pick eco-friendly alternatives. To liaise with contractors when they are onsite, ensuring that they adhere to the Company’s Health and Safety policy, Safe Systems of Work, complete tasks which they have been called to do and sign off worksheets to confirm completion of contractors’ work. Conduct lift emergency release procedures as required. Maintenance of all hotel fixtures and fittings to ensure they are in safe condition and take action when any unsafe situations arise. Assist with budget control, inventory, and purchasing of maintenance supplies. Respond to guest service requests and emergencies promptly and professionally. Enforcing policies and procedures which ensure effective operation of pool facilities. All pool operation, pool maintenance (including daily chemical analysis/testing, cleaning, filter backwashing. Ensure the function of all pool plant. To update the EHH on stock levels and requirements to resolve issues. To attend weekly walkthroughs with the Maintenance Manager and EHH assessing areas of concern. To assist the Maintenance Manger in rolling refurbishment plan within the hotel, ensuring the areas are completed according to the time given. Ad-hoc duties as required – unexpected moments when we have to pull together as a team to get a task done.
