We are currently looking for a passionate Assistant Chief Steward, to join our StewardingTeamon apermanentbasis, with an immediate start to consistently deliver memorable moments and five star service to our guests and each other. As a Assistant Chief Steward, your main duties and expectations for the role will include:
To ensure you and your team is briefed and have necessary knowledge of the hotel daily and weekly business. To carry out all tasks as directed by the Line Manager or/and Executive Chef and to assist in any other areas or duties within the hotel upon request
In cooperation with Chief Steward oversee and supervise the entire Stewarding daily operations, keeping your manager updated of all changes implemented. Oversee and run the department in the absence of the Chief Steward.
Pro-actively research new dishes for new menus and present them to your senior chef on a monthly basis. If approved follow up with specification / allergen info etc.
Spot check night cleaning quality vs standard set for all areas of responsibilities and communicate with Chief Steward. Understand your role and what is expected of you to support all F&B departments achieve their AA and Leading Hotels of The World standards
Ensure your team members are fully trained to be able to complete their duties on a daily basis and to conduct/ organise any training required with relevant documentation to support. To give feedback to team members and propose performance management when required to Chief Steward
To issue to and ensure that departments have the correct supply of cutlery, crockery and silver for use at all times
To ensure that the use and storage of chemicals in stewarding operation, kitchens, F&B BOH areas is to COSHH guidelines and that all users are COSHH trained
You will be required to work40 hoursper week, on a shift rota.
