Job Description:
My client are a leading multi-discipline building and engineering services provider who have been operating since the 1970s.
London operations are based out of their Central London Office which now consists of around 20 staff.
Very exciting time to join the business. They currently turnover £60mil but are projecting £100mil turnover in the next 2 years.
They specialise in projects in a value range of £10mil - £20mil – but do go as high as £26mil.
Specialist projects are all London based and include refurbishments in sectors such as healthcare, hotels, education, CAT A/B office fit outs, leisure, residential, and public sectors.
Due to a new project starting (London-based healthcare refurbishment), they are now seeking an additional Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor to join their team of 5.
THE ROLE – Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor
Monday – Thursday – 8am – 5pm / Friday – 8am – 2pm
You will initially work on their London-based healthcare refurbishment project.
Duties will include:
* Preparation, submission, and agreement of interim applications and final accounts.
* Submission and agreement of variations, dayworks, etc., with the main contractor/client.
* Managing sub-contractor interim payments, site measures, payment notices, pay less notices, and final accounts.
* Liaising with contract managers in procurement of sub-contract packages and preparation of sub-contract documents.
* Supporting in monitoring the progress of the works.
* Preparing and issuing contractual notices and correspondence to clients, suppliers, and sub-contractors.
* Preparing cash flows, monthly cost reports, and budget analyses.
* Preparing monthly commercial reviews and presenting at project review meetings.
* Reviewing contract documents.
Person Specification:
* An industry-appropriate ONC/HNC/BSc or equivalent qualification.
* Experience in healthcare and commercial projects.
* At least 8 years’ experience in the construction industry.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
* Self-motivated with a passionate, 'can do' attitude.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Diplomatic and customer-focused.
* Ability to anticipate and address problems early.
* Experience handling multiple clients, contracts, and measurement methods.
* Flexible and able to meet deadlines.
* Capable of coping under high pressure.
SALARY & PACKAGE
£70,000 - £80,000
Coverage of daily travel costs to office and site.
Yearly bonus schemes based on project and company performance.
Early finish at 2pm on Fridays.
20 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays.
Healthcare insurance, death in service, pension.
