We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored support to students with Special Educational Needs within the classroom setting. You will work closely with the class teacher and other professionals to ensure that students are supported to access the curriculum and make progress in a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist the teacher in delivering differentiated lessons and activities to students with SEN.
2. Work with students individually or in small groups to provide additional support.
3. Support students with personal care, mobility, and other physical needs where required.
4. Monitor and record students' progress, providing feedback to the teacher and other staff members.
5. Help create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
6. Collaborate with other professionals, including teaching staff, therapists, and external agencies, to support students' development.
7. Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour plans.
8. Support the emotional and social development of students, helping to build their confidence and independence.
