An exciting opportunity has arisen for residential support workers in Cheshire, working within Local Authority Childrens Homes.
The service aims to ensure that its most vulnerable children's needs are met and that their life chances are maximised to enable them to achieve their full potential. As a residential support worker, you will be part of a team providing 24 hour care and ensuring that the quality of care provided is consistent in line with local authority and OFSTED standards.
Your duties will include;
1. To support the children and young people in all day-to-day activities and interests
2. To promote the young person's independence and wellbeing
3. To attend weekends away, holidays and trips away with the Children
4. To attend weekend and evening activities to support the children and young people in their interests. This can range from climbing and baking cakes to weekend activities away!
5. To protect the children and young people from any risks to their health and welfare
6. To provide emotional and practical support to the young people within your home.
7. To ensure the safety of young people by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of care plans and guidelines
