Our Forfar service is currently recruiting for part time Support Practioners (16-20 hours per week) and Relief Support Practitioners to join their dedicated team. As a Support Practitioner you will be expected to work shift patterns, weekends and waking nightshift via a staff rota.
Driving is desirable and you will have a full UK manual driving licence however, this is not essential for the post. You will be supported with all training for the role through our e-learning and classroom style training.
The Forfar service is set in an idyllic location with a large communal space both inside and outdoors where you can support the individuals to be as creative as they wish. We are a small team who put the people we support at the heart of the service.
All of the people supported need support with all aspects of their life which includes either full support or prompting with personal care, support with cooking or prompting to cook meals, general household tasks, shopping and attending appointments.
They also require support to attend all their activities and require full support to participate in some of these, for example swimming.
The individuals we support all have a range of different sensory impairments including sight and hearing impairments. Some people have complex communication needs and we use different communication methods to meet the individuals needs. There is also the requirement for staff to carry out moving and assisting tasks as we have one individual who uses a wheelchair and we act as sighted guides for the people we support.
Join us in making a real difference and embark on a fulfilling journey at Sense Scotland.
