You will be a graduate of Science, Maths, Engineering or Computer Science and you will hold a 1st or 2:1 grade. The school is also keen to see that you have matching A-Levels and GCSE's as you will be a role model to pupils sitting their exams. A large part of the teaching assistant role will take you out of the classroom. You will partner with class teachers, and you will be a part of the in class learning but you will be tasked with expanding the process beyond the confines of the curriculum. You will manage small group and 1-2-1 exercises with pupils who have either exceeded or fallen short of expectations. You will report progress to the teaching team and be a valued member of the STEM teaching faculty.
Grades and attainment are not a challenge for this school. National league tables have placed the school in the top 5% in the North West for the last 5 years and pupil behaviour is exceptional.
