To carry out the commissioning of all disciplines within the fire and security sector, including client training. To provide a supporting role for the Project Managers in the control of completing the commissioning C&E Matrix for FSN Projects. To achieve all client expectations whilst always adhering to all statutory regulations and company procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Take ownership of FSN Projects allocated to you to construct C&E matrix in line with the specification.
* Ensure correct paperwork/certification is completed for each project.
* Produce Commissioning blockers and reports for the FSN Project Manager.
* Monitor labour requirements in line with commissioning program.
* Work alongside installation engineers and subcontractors to build knowledge of project to build commissioning scope.
* Ensure all drawings from installation engineers and subcontractors are correct in readiness for commissioning.
* Attend site commissioning meetings when required.
* Monitor quality of installation to ensure compliance with relevant standards.
* Monitor program of works to ensure commissioning works are undertaken in line with key milestones.
* Commission Fire, Life Safety and Security Systems.
* Producing Interface schedules where required.
* Producing C&E Schedules.

Person Specification
* Excellent communication skills including preparing and delivering presentations.
* Good knowledge of MS products, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and confident using IT software.
* Excellent attention to detail, sound problem-solving skills and analytical thinking with demonstrable experience of delivering action plans to resolve issues and remedy disputes.
* Experience in the installation, servicing, maintenance, and commissioning of Fire Detection, Access Control, CCTV, Intruder Alarm Systems and other associated equipment to the applicable British and European Standards and knowledge of all relevant BAFE/NSI codes of practice.
* Have a working knowledge of the programming and setup of databases on enterprise level Access Control/CCTV and Intruder Alarm Systems.
* Have a working knowledge of networking.
* To be conversant with the products and systems installed and with any significant limitations inherent in such products and systems.
* On occasions, to conduct site surveys in conjunction with a Line Manager, giving due consideration to all applicable security risk factors.
* Ability to work on own initiative with minimum supervision.
* Ability to fault find and resolve issues in a logical manner.
* Good verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports.
* Ability to work creatively and innovatively dealing with core issues with customers.

Working Conditions
The physical environment requires the employee to be at site locations around the UK and may involve travel to Europe from time to time. Construction site locations will involve both inside and outside working environments and the employee will be required to use personal protective equipment. The employee may/will be required to work late into the evening, nights, weekends, and on public holidays and may be required to spend time away in order to fulfil the job role.
