Interim Buyer / Purchaser – Havant – £30,000 - £35,000
Do you have at least 2 years’ experience within manufacturing procurement?
We are recruiting for a Buyer to cover maternity leave for a global manufacturing organisation based in Havant. This is an office-based role and will be on a 6 month contract. If you have some previous experience in procurement, ideally in manufacturing this interim buyer role would be ideal for you and gives you a chance to work for a global, multi-site company.
Responsibilities
The role Interim Buyer will be a varied role but will have the following responsibilities:
* Evaluating MRP demand
* Raise and issue purchase orders
* Communicate between production, planning and procurement teams regarding material shortages.
* Actively communicate with suppliers to request order confirmations and update on the MRP system.
* Manage and resolve supplier non-conformances.
* Produce daily reports via our in-house reporting system
Requirements:
To be considered for the role of Interim Buyer you will ideally have the following:
* Ideally at least 2 years experience within purchasing or a similar procurement role within manufacturing
* Strong IT skills, MS Office such as Excel
* You will be organised and a good communicator
Package
The successful candidate for the role of Interim Buyer will receive the following:
* Salary circa £30,000 - £35,000
* 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
* Working hours are Monday to Friday 8am – 4:30pm
