Based in the Tees Valley, Bede Sixth Form College continues to go from strength to strength, our pass rate is 99%. In our last Ofsted inspection, May 2022, we received Outstanding grades in Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal development, Leadership and Management and Education Programmes for Young People. We are an innovative and destination driven Sixth Form offering a wide range of both A level and vocational provision to the community.
Our teaching and learning strategy is research based and focused on the principles of cognitive science. We have invested significantly in professional development to ensure all our teachers are evidence-informed practitioners, continuously developing their own pedagogy to ensure the very best outcomes for our learners. Our teachers work alongside a team of Personal Progression Coordinators (PPCs) to ensure that our learners are supported holistically throughout their time at Bede.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Teacher of Sport to join our growing team and deliver across our BTEC & NCFE provision in Sport. We strive to work closely with employers, universities and stakeholders to ensure we are preparing our learners to be industry-ready in a highly competitive field. This post would be suitable for the right candidate to combine this role with a coaching role within our ISE Sports Academy.
As a Teacher of Sport at Bede Sixth Form College, you will be responsible for designing and delivering innovative and interactive lessons, providing high-quality support and feedback, and ensuring students maximise their potential.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, professional, and a positive role model for both staff and students. They will be inspirational and have a keen interest in staying up to date with new teaching and learning developments.
The candidate should possess a degree in a related discipline and a recognised teaching qualification (or working towards). Experience of working in the sport and leisure industry would be an advantage. Schedule
We have a unique timetable at Bede Sixth Form designed with student and staff wellbeing in mind. Our lessons start from 10 am to 4 pm, and we deliver a maximum of two lessons a day.
