At Kidzcare, we are looking for caring, committed individuals to join our team as Nursery Assistants and Nursery Practitioners at our Norwood House Nursery.

We are open from 8 am - 6 pm Monday to Friday. This role is looking for candidates able to work 4 days (38 hours) between Monday and Friday; however, we are also happy to discuss part-time/flexible working.
We are looking for staff members who have their SVQ3 in Children and Young People. We also provide support and opportunities in Kidzcare for staff members to begin their qualification and work towards this while in employment.
Main Duties Include:
1. Have professional knowledge of young children and babies and be aware and act upon the individual children's needs within the nursery.
2. Develop a stable, friendly, and trusting relationship with the children.
3. Have a good working knowledge of the child-centered approach and the relevant curriculum for your age group.
4. Plan and provide a variety of stimulating play and development opportunities and activities that will aid the social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development of the children in line with the relevant curriculum.
5. Use observation skills to gain knowledge and record the development of the children in your care. Use this knowledge to prepare developmental reports and up-to-date personal profiles for children.
6. Competently use iPads and computers to formally observe, report, and record children’s progress.
7. Plan for activities based on individual needs using next steps and evaluation.
8. Have a good working knowledge of Building the Ambition, SSSC codes of practice, Child at the Centre, and Care Standards.

The successful applicant will be subject to a PVG check and must also be willing to register with the SSSC and meet registration conditions.
