We’re currently looking for a Consultation & Engagement Officer to join our Communities, Consultation & Engagement team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable insight and hands-on experience supporting the Combined Authority’s exciting plans to enhance our transport network. As part of the team, you will help to plan and deliver a variety of consultation and engagement activities. The Role Reporting into the Senior Consultation & Engagement Officer, your key responsibilities will include: · Plan, manage, deliver and evaluate consultation and engagement outputs, enabling a wide range of audiences to shape and influence transport strategies, policies and infrastructure schemes. · Enable all communities across West Yorkshire to have their say, including those we seldom hear from by using innovative channels to maximise the breadth and depth of our community engagement reach. · Work collaboratively and flexibly to meet evolving business needs as part of our dedicated Consultation and Communications workstream for transport. · Promote consultation and engagement best practice by providing appropriate advice and support and ensuring compliance with the organisation's corporate consultation and engagement standards. About You You will have the following key skills, attributes, education and experience: · Knowledge and experience of key technical aspects of consultation and engagement, including stakeholder mapping, engagement with seldom-heard groups, data collection, analysis and report writing. · A demonstrable commitment to equity, diversity & inclusion (EDI), including knowledge of best practice in community engagement. · Understanding of engagement and promotion methods and how to best tailor these to meet the needs of our diverse communities in West Yorkshire. · Ability and confidence to provide consultation and engagement best practice advice to senior figures both within and outside our organisation. · Excellent communication and partnership working skills, with experience of working successfully with a wide range of stakeholders. · An ambitious, results-focused, organised individual, proficient at project management.
