Project Manager – Electrical Utilities
Location: Didcot HQ – Oxfordshire / Berkshire / Hampshire Sites
Salary: Up to £50K
Hours: 40/week – hybrid working between home/office/sites
About the Role
We are seeking a Utilities Manager to join our team in delivering pre-construction and construction phase services for a wide range of projects. These include utility diversions, new connections, and Statutory Undertaker projects, with a focus on electrical infrastructure. The role offers significant independence and responsibility, with opportunities for professional development and career progression.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and manage utility and infrastructure projects, from identifying and scoping to applying for utility diversions and new connections.
2. Oversee the delivery of Statutory Undertaker (typically Electrical) projects.
3. Support project management teams and transition into a lead role as experience grows, managing project preparation and delivery.
4. Ensure project control, quality management, and stakeholder engagement across live projects.
5. Collaborate with client teams and stakeholders, with significant client-facing responsibilities.
Key Skills and Experience:
1. 5+ years of experience in utilities or infrastructure, with development into team oversight roles.
2. Experience working with utility companies and understanding their regulatory and business drivers.
3. Ability to manage programmes, budgets, and commercial/safety risks.
4. Familiarity with NRSWA regulations.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with teams and report to client leadership.
6. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workload against critical deadlines and milestones.
7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
8. Full UK driving license and willingness to travel for site visits.
