Job Summary: Respond to customers' field repair and service requests, diagnosing problems and providing comprehensive details to customers and Finning to create a quote within a cost and time-effective manner.
Key Responsibilities:
* Attend site, understand customer needs, and resolve mechanical or electrical issues in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner.
* Utilize dealer software and repair techniques to diagnose and repair Caterpillar products.
* Provide estimates of arrival time at customer sites based on job instructions.
* Identify required parts, requisition them, and determine expected delivery times.
* Undertake repair and service work on machines to agreed work plans.
Requirements:
* Strong planning and organizational skills with ability to work in high-pressured situations and tight deadlines.
* Apprentice-trained or formally trained engineer (NVQ Level 3 in Land Based Engineering/Plant Fitting preferred).
* Knowledge of field-based diagnosis tools and equipment essential.
* Heavy Earth Moving equipment operating knowledge.
* LDV driving license.
* Experience with various construction and static machines essential.
