As part of this role, you’ll be responsible for leading the team which provides intelligence collection, synthesis and risk and threat analysis services to our stores and partners across the business. We’ll look to you to identify and recommend risk mitigation strategies to protect partners, assets and the brand. This role will be field based with travel across the UK as required.
You will bring your experience within a retail or hospitality environment of managing safety and risk within a multisite business. You’ll have experience of developing and maintaining an extensive network of risk intelligence professionals with comprehensive knowledge of risk identification and mitigation. You’ll have strong knowledge of protective services and risk intelligence services alongside security systems including CCTV, alarm systems, data mining investigation platforms and cash safes. You’ll be a skilled investigator of losses and potential ‘risk’ with knowledge of criminal law and technologies relevant to the intelligence function. We’re looking for a commercially astute leader with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
The best part about this role is that no two days are ever the same! Working as our Security and Resilience Manager, you’ll get involved in:
* Driving the security, resilience and crisis strategy alongside the operational plan and processes for the UK market.
* Continuously identifying and implementing strategies to reduce risk, develop resilience and be a vital support in times of crisis.
* Being the key lead who prevents, detects and investigates company losses/risk, overseeing the ‘always on’ 24hr 365-day emergency advice/support line.
* Overseeing and supporting on incidents, including those of a high-risk nature, ensuring that we have a process, follow up and training in place, whilst ensuring our policies and best practices are applied consistently and robustly across the business.
* Reviewing and authorising specific data sharing requests in accordance with current law and guidelines.
* Tracking regulatory and legislative changes, risk assessing and influencing the protection programs for partners and their families.
* Leading implementation of any industry changes across the business, working cross-functionally with partners both internally and externally.
* Assessing high-risk stores to evaluate areas of risk resulting in partner and profit risk, supporting with action plans, advice and guidance to ensure a proactive focus on risk management.
* Influencing security advances and intelligence gathering for special events, travel and activities.
* Reviewing world events and intelligence to identify risks to the business providing analysis and recommendations to ensure that protective programs are adequately assessed and implemented.
* Conducting and overseeing training in risk management, conducting surveys and identifying and prioritizing the type and levels needed where appropriate.
* Carrying out compliance audits in stores, highlighting areas of potential risk and shortcomings in policy and procedures, making recommendations to improve compliance.
* Detecting, investigating and conducting interviews where necessary for known criminal activity, internal and external theft, fraud and other breaches of company policy in a professional manner and within legal and company guidelines. Attending and giving evidence in courts, industrial tribunals and disciplinary hearings as required.
* Building an effective network, nurturing relationships with police, legal departments and outside security agencies.
* Managing key accounts and KPIs of suppliers of security services.
