£31,067 - £34,314 per year. (Permanent and Full time). Housing Options are looking for an experienced Money Advice Caseworker to join the team in providing homelessness advice to households presenting with a range of debt and affordability issues.
The Casework Team is based within Housing Options and is responsible for providing housing advice and assistance to clients who present as homeless or at risk of homelessness.
The Money Advice Caseworker will primarily work with clients who are threatened with homelessness caused by financial difficulties. Ideally, you will have knowledge of the welfare benefits system. There will be a strong emphasis on the prevention of homelessness, and the successful candidate will negotiate on the client's behalf with landlords, relatives, mortgagees, creditors, and courts to enable people to remain in their own houses wherever possible.
