The Role Scope
The Social Media Manager is responsible for creating and delivering MandM’s social media strategy and ultimately delivering MandM’s brand proposition across multiple social platforms in numerous markets. They will deliver the full ‘end to end’ social remit including ideation, planning, copywriting, content production, publishing, and tracking.
The ultimate focus for this role will be driving brand awareness and ultimately sales revenue through social platforms with their team.
Role key responsibilities
* Develop and manage the social media strategy, building brand awareness and engagement on all MandM’s channels including Facebook, Instagram, X, and TikTok.
* Plan and manage the social media content calendar
* Oversee UK & European social sites and localise plans where relevant.
* Lead and mentor the social team, providing guidance and support to achieve social team goals and the wider brand team goals
* Oversee the social team's relations with the in-house agency, and support the team to produce briefs in line with the social plan for the creation of social-first content.
* Manage integrated social media campaigns alongside day-to-day activities, supporting wider organisational objectives.
* Innovate and explore new opportunities across social media channels, ensuring cutting-edge knowledge and application of trends
* Identify and build relationships with relevant content creators, influencers, and brand ambassadors.
* Manage content creator campaigns and collaborations to amplify brand reach and credibility.
* Manage budgets, oversee broader strategies including organic and paid campaigns, and execute influencer collaborations.
* Regularly analyse and report on social media performance, focusing on engagement, brand awareness, and ROAS.
* Work collaboratively with the brand, CRM, trading, and digital marketing team to ensure MandM’s goals are aligned.
About You
Skill/competency
* Proven experience as a social media manager.
* Understanding of brand and campaign planning and execution
* Strong understanding of implementing a Social Media Strategy with a large team
* Relevant web/marketing/analytical based qualification
* High level of attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills
* Experience of Meta Business Suite.
* Knowledge of Google Suite.
* Highly creative with a passion for making things happen and inspiring others to do the same
