Long term contract opportunity available with a multi-energy leader. The Planning and Economics Advisor will play a crucial role in shaping and monitoring strategic directives for the business. You will support the global planning processes, ensure alignment with corporate guidelines during investment approvals, and prepare reports to guide strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assisting in defining strategic vision and action plans, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy.
* Analysing and consolidating strategic plans for submission and approval.
* Monitoring the fulfilment of strategic plans, closing reserves, and impairment test exercises.
* Supporting the definition and alignment of unit objectives with overall strategy.
* Analysing business portfolios, identifying growth opportunities, and assisting in restructuring efforts.
* Maintaining and updating portfolio tools and data.
* Evaluating investment and business development proposals for alignment with Group objectives.
* Facilitating the investment approval process in collaboration with EMT areas, regional units, and headquarters.
* Preparing and coordinating periodic reports and studies, including annual reports and market analyses.
* Maintaining databases and management reports for ongoing review and strategy development.
Professional Skills and Experience:
* Minimum 5 years in planning, performance, or technical roles within the oil and gas industry.
* Highly detail-oriented, organised, and self-motivated with a strong ability to meet tight deadlines.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PBI, and PowerPoint, with a readiness to learn new systems such as Anaplan.
* Strong interpersonal skills with a client-oriented approach.
* Capability to perform effectively under pressure.
Educational Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
