Earthstream are proud to be recruiting a Control Panel Workshop Manager for a leading automation business specialising in control systems design for industrial machinery Job Role: Control Panel Workshop Manager Location: Hinckley Salary: £45,000 pa plus benefits As a Control Panel Workshop Manager your remit will include: Work on-site at customer premises in the automotive, aerospace, and logistics industries Install control panels, mains, 24V dc and communication cables, cable containment, wiring motors, sensors, and remote Input/Output nodes. Terminate field cables in a control panel. Occasionally work weekends and stay overnight away from home as required. Wire electrical control panels and equipment in our workshops Incorporate PLC, CNC, or PC-based controllers, AC servo drives, and inverter motor controllers in control panel wiring. Build control panels according to CAD drawings provided by electrical designers. Collaborate with the electrical designers based in the same location. Strong knowledge of electrical systems and components. Familiarity with electrical safety practices and regulations. Excellent problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Demonstrated good health and safety culture. Willingness to work on-site at customer premises and be available for overnight stays as required. Flexibility to work weekends and overtime when necessary. Proficiency in reading electrical drawings.
