Administrator
Location: York - YO1 6JT
Hours: Monday - Friday 37 hours per week
Pay: £17.03ph
Temporary Contract - 3 months - Highly likely to be extended
As an Administrator, you will follow procedures and will exercise some independent judgement in carrying out instructions, under general supervision. Examples of work performed will include but not be restricted to:
1. Support the delivery of the required day to day operations of Road Fleet Management activities, arranging of the taxing of vehicles and checking driving licences.
2. Responsible for updating the motor insurance database, processing the notices of prosecution, penalty charges relating to parking and appeals.
3. Responding to queries relating to the Vehicle Telematics System (VTS), and supporting compliance with data protection and process in relation to vehicle location, maintenance and operating centres.
4. Processing any invoices, attending meetings, taking minutes and provide support to the contract management of relevant contracts that support the road fleet team.
5. Supporting the compliance of the HGV Operator's Licence by resolving queries, processing newspaper advertisements for variation or approval of operating centres and supporting Network Rail's drivers in achieving their required level of training each year.
6. Establish effective relationships with customers and suppliers.
7. Provide data and reporting as required on both vehicles and drivers .
8. Assist in identification and implementation of quality and efficiency improvement initiatives.
Typical experience:
9. Administrative experience with a good knowledge of and experience in using Microsoft Office including word and excel
10. Experienced with mailbox management
11. Knowledge of road fleet management
12. Knowledge of fleet day to day operations .
13. Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
14. Knowledge of relevant railway geography
15. Able to work under pressure with a continuous focus on delivery
16. Good communication skills
17. Ability to demonstrate a customer focused approach
