Job Overview
Applications are invited for the post of Data Quality Clerk within the Data Quality Team at Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. The role will support the application of data quality and information governance standards, regularly monitoring and striving to improve performance for the Trust.
Key Duties
* Promoting data quality and its importance.
* Review/analyse information to validate 18-week data collection against PAS system, record results and liaise with data analyst to ensure national return submission targets are met.
* Maintain close contact with operational staff and communicate requirements to achieve accurate data input.
* Monitor and maintain an understanding of operational working practices.
* Assess and resolve complex enquiries to ensure all reference data is kept to a standardised format.
* Liaison with all levels of staff within the organisation to understand discrepancies and establish correct data collection.
* Deal effectively and efficiently with queries from both internal and external sources.
Qualifications
Essential criteria
* Educated to GCSE level or equivalent qualification and/or equivalent experience
* NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification and/or equivalent experience
Knowledge & Experience
* Experience of data entry
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Access and Excel.
Skills
* Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels
* Ability to organise their workload effectively to meet deadlines
* Able to work effectively as a team member
* Able to work with minimum supervision
* Able to meet changing demands and priorities with a flexible approach
