Masterclass is working closely with a very welcoming and inclusive educational environment committed to supporting students with additional needs. This is an all-through school catering for primary, secondary, and 6th form students. We’re looking for a compassionate, proactive, and enthusiastic Classroom Care Assistant to join the team, helping students achieve their fullest potential in a supportive classroom setting.
As a Classroom Care Assistant, you’ll play an essential role in supporting students who need additional care due to disabilities or learning difficulties. Working closely with teachers and support staff, you’ll help create a positive, nurturing learning environment, ensuring students’ physical, emotional, and educational needs are met.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide one-on-one or group support to students with diverse needs, including physical and/or learning disabilities.
2. Assist students with daily personal care needs, including feeding, toileting, and mobility, ensuring dignity and respect.
3. Support classroom learning by reinforcing lesson materials and assisting students with assignments and activities.
4. Create a safe, inclusive, and comfortable learning environment.
5. Monitor and encourage positive behaviour, contributing to a calm and engaging classroom atmosphere.
6. Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and families to communicate student progress and any concerns.
7. Assist with classroom setup, organisation, and routine management to facilitate smooth and effective learning.

Do you….
1. Hold prior experience in a care assistant or support role (classroom experience preferred but not essential).
2. Have relevant qualifications in health and social care or a similar field (advantageous but not essential).
3. Possess flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic classroom environment.
