Information Governance Officer
Fixed term contract: 9 - 12 months
Part-time: two days a week (0.4 FTE)
NS8 – £30,060 to £31,586
We are now recruiting for an Information Governance Officer to assist the council to fulfil its statutory requirements through its adherence to and compliance with legislation, codes of practice and guidance regarding the Data Protection Act 2018, the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Freedom of Information Act, Environmental Information Regulations and other current and future relevant statute.
You will support the Senior Information Governance and Data Protection Officer in all information governance issues. You will process, monitor and co-ordinate Freedom of Information, Data Protection and other similar requests (including the application of exemptions), ensuring information security and confidentiality through information sharing protocols where appropriate. You will ensure that the council’s publication scheme is updated and that Data Protection notifications are completed.
