Scope
At Queensmith, we understand that our greatest asset is our exceptional team. The Senior Goldsmith is an integral member of the team, assisting in the production of all orders designed and manufactured in house. The role will involve carrying out a number of jewellery mounting tasks in a competent and tidy manner to ensure the production team are able to complete orders on time and meet our exacting high standards. The requirement to work quickly and efficiently whilst having an eye for detail and being flexible in the approach to your role is essential. Your contributions are integral to our journey.
Responsibilities
1. Assisting in the manufacture of jewellery
2. Completing tasks in a timely manner as per the manufacturing notes
3. Understand & adhere to our quality standards
4. Casting cleaning & multi piece assemblies of 18ct Gold & Platinum
5. Ring sizing & general intermediate repairs
6. Use of the laser
7. Polishing to a high standard
8. Clearly communicating any queries which may arise during production
9. Following company procedures when processing client orders
10. Accurately record timings of own productivity
11. Assisting Lead Goldsmith or Head of Workshop when required
12. Maintaining a tidy bench
13. Promotion of our workshop procedures & techniques used by Lead Goldsmith
14. Supporting & assisting in the training of new staff
15. To be a representative of the workshop and workshop etiquette
Requirements
16. Strong technical understanding of jewellery manufacturing processes
17. Confident ability to work on a variety of advanced level bespoke designs
18. Work using a microscope
19. Working knowledge of our laser technology
20. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
21. Demonstrate a high level of quality control
22. Follow company security procedures
23. To have a positive attitude and to be actively pro-company
24. Engaging with clients on workshop tours when required

25. Confident bench skills via apprenticeship or degree level, at least 5 years on the bench
