Quantity Surveyor - Social Housing

Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost management, contract administration, and project financial control. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing costs and ensuring the financial success of our construction projects.

* Location: Wolverhampton
* Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum
Key Responsibilities:
* Cost Management: Prepare and manage project budgets, cost estimates, and financial reports.
* Tendering: Lead the tendering process, including preparing tender documents, evaluating bids, and selecting suppliers and subcontractors.
* Valuations: Prepare interim valuations, final accounts, and project cost control.
* Contract Administration: Administer contracts, manage variations, and ensure compliance with contractual terms.
* Site Visits: Conduct site visits to assess progress, measure works, and ensure projects are on track and within budget.
* Data Analysis: Collect and analyse data to provide insights on cost performance and identify areas for improvement.
* Client Liaison: Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Requirements:
* Education: Degree or HND/HNC in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
* Experience: Experience in a quantity surveying role within the construction industry.
* Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, CATO).
* Numeracy: Strong numerical and analytical skills with an attention to detail.
* Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
* Organisational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
* Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues, analyse data, and propose effective solutions.
