Job Title : Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location : Exmouth
Salary: Up to £70,000 plus £6,000 car allowance
My client is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its team, delivering high-profile highways projects in the South West of England. As a leading civil engineering organisation, my client is committed to delivering exceptional transportation solutions across the UK.
The role will focus on major infrastructure projects, including the construction of new roads and roundabouts, as well as the replacement and building of a bridge over a railway line. Project values range between £7-20 million.
Role and Responsibilities
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for the commercial management of multiple projects, ensuring financial control and efficiency. Key responsibilities include:
·Overseeing cost management, procurement, and financial reporting.
·Ensuring contractual compliance and managing risks.
·Working closely with customers and stakeholders to support successful project delivery.
·Managing a small team, fostering their professional development and performance.
·Contributing to the continuous improvement of commercial practices within the organisation.
The role will require travel to project sites 2 to 3 days per week.

About You
The ideal candidate will have:
·Extensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally in a civil engineering or highways environment.
·Strong NEC Contracts experience.
·A proven ability to manage project costs, contracts, and commercial risks effectively.
·Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
·Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic approach to project management.
·Proficiency in cost management software and IT systems.
