In April 2025, a wonderful four day nanny role is becoming available in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire. This friendly and professional family is looking for a kind, nurturing and fun nanny who can stay long term and grow with their family. They also have a friendly Bernadoodle dog, who is part of the family.
You will be looking after one delightful baby girl, aged ten months. Although Mum works from home, this will be a sole charge role.
The hours of the role will be Tuesday-Friday, 07.30-17.30 (40 hours/week). There will also be some regular babysitting and ad hoc days, but any additional hours will be mutually agreed and paid as overtime at a rate of £16 gross per hour + £50 overnight charge.
The parents are keen for their little girl to learn and develop in a balanced way, to help her to hit her various developmental milestones – with lots of stimulating and educational indoor fun (reading, singing, jigsaws, craft, imaginary games, etc) mixed with plenty of outside play and walks to the nearby park – whatever the weather! The parents would like her to attend play dates with friends and educational and fun groups and activities (music group, library, farm, soft play, etc) to allow her to mix with other children, ensuring that she is always happy and safe. You should have a real love and understanding of child development.
The family has a weekly cleaner, but some help to keep the house running smoothly would be appreciated – emptying the dishwasher, running the hoover round, making sure all rooms are tidy at the end of the day etc.
As well as general care of the baby and keeping all her areas clean and tidy (kitchen, her bedroom and playroom, etc), the duties are to include keeping on top of the family laundry, ironing, food shops and daily errands. While she is a baby, you will wash and prepare feeding bottles. As she grows, you will provide healthy and nutritional meals, homecooked as often as possible. Batch cooking with plenty made in advance and frozen for the parents to use with her at the weekends would be appreciated. Knowledge of weaning and potty training is essential.
You will need to be a careful and confident driver with a clean licence. Your own fully insured car would be ideal (with duty mileage paid), but this is not a necessity.
This is a fabulous role and would suit someone who is happy to make a long-term commitment.
