About the role: As a Special Needs Job Coach, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering tailored training and support programmes that prepare young people for meaningful employment and community participation. This includes providing one-to-one and group based sessions in education and work related activities. Key responsibilities: Engage with young people in the community, fostering motivation and participation to achieve project goals. Plan and deliver accredited, person-centred programmes that address individual barriers and promote employability Provide practical support such as confidence building, CV writing, job searching, interview preparation, travel training and health and wellbeing initiatives Collaborate with local employers to secure work placements, supported internships and job trials for young people, ensuring a smooth transition into the workforce Offer ongoing in-work support and guidance to ensure sustainable employment outcomes for those with Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs), including those with complex needs Who we’re looking for: The ideal candidate will have: A full UK driving licence (essential for community delivery) Experience working in an educational or support setting with young people who have SEN, including those with social and emotional behavioural challenges Strong organisational skills, IT proficiency and the ability to work independently A flexible and empathetic approach, with the ability to market individuals and services effectively A good understanding of support employment processes and social enterprises This role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a tangible impact in the lives of young people.
