Location : Swindon Contract : Permanent / Full time (40 hours per week) Salary : £29,232 - £35,000 per annum Working days : Mon-Fri (and working one weekend every four weeks with time off on the Friday before and Monday after) Working hours : 12:00 - 21:00 (subject to change in the future) Reporting to the Logistics Manager/Shift manager, the Class 2 Delivery Driver will complete tasks assigned to them within the given area. They will focus on meeting delivery/collection times to other businesses or one of our logistics hubs, contributing to the overall Hit Rate target and they will ensure the highest possible service to the customer as they will represent the company during their interactions with our clients. Key responsibilities Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Safety: Wearing the correct PPE and uniform. Reporting all accidents, incidents and near misses to their line manager without delay. Driving and delivering in a way that complies with the highway code and Oxwash’s SOPs. Inventory: Reporting any low stock of consumable spare parts. Accountable for ensuring the vehicle you are using is road worthy, correct vehicle checks have been made and has all correct items such as sack barrow, straps/load lock bars etc. Operations: Responsible for the efficient delivery of all assigned tasks in order to achieve on-time delivery using hampers and cages. Responsible for completing weekly van checks and that any failings are reported to the most appropriate person without delay. Responsible for escalating issues to the Logistics Manager/Shift Manager as appropriate. Quality and customer experience: Accountable for ensuring all items arrive to the customer in the same state that they left our site. Accountable for ensuring you uphold the positive image of the brand at all times in a public facing role. Supporting customer queries from/with Account Managers and the RevOps team. Responsible for ensuring that any changes to delivery times are communicated to the Account Managers team and the Logistics Manager or site manager, as appropriate. Handling customer information with sensitivity and discretion and following our internal procedures. Leadership and team development: Aid with the training of new hires, and existing colleagues and seek opportunities to upskill yourself. Provide internal stakeholders with concise and clear communication around any issue incurred. Key Relationships Lead Driver/Logistics Manager : You will report to our Lead Driver/Logistics Manager who is responsible for management of our logistics team at your location. They will support your execution, sponsor key projects and foster your development. They are accountable for all delivery in your wheelhouse. Account Managers : You will work alongside the Account Managers team and Operations Manager to manage customer complaints and escalations from a logistics perspective. Shift Manager s: You will liaise with the site’s Shift Managers to support them with any order-related queries and site standards. Requirements Technical competency Specialist and technical knowledge: HGV Class 2 License, with no more than 3 points and with at least 1.5 years Class 2 experience. Must hold a valid driver qualification (CPC) card. Have experience with multi-drops. Ability to lift hampers up to 20kg each and move cages in a safe manner. Technology, automation and Innovation Operational technologies: Have a good knowledge of computer systems and willingness to learn how to use the internal systems used at Oxwash. Specifically, we use OnFleet/Admin/wash tracking, and Convey driver app. Data literacy: Understand data to help identify the root cause of issues and solve them. Have a good understanding of numbers in order to count items on ingress and invoice items accurately.
