Experienced Phlebotomist - Part time 10 h/w
The phlebotomy department at Royal Berkshire Hospital is looking for band 3 experienced phlebotomists to support the provision of quality blood collection services. We are an extensive department that services both wards and outpatient clinics. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and has previous experience in a similar role to join our team on a part-time basis, mornings only (5 hours, starting at 07:00 am to 12:00 pm) on Saturday, Sunday, and bank holidays.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be required to collect samples from inpatients. They will liaise with clinicians, other healthcare professionals including laboratory staff, patients, and their representatives, as well as with commercial suppliers. The post holder will perform a range of venepuncture techniques in various clinical settings and will work without direct supervision.
