Line of Service Advisory Industry/Sector Not Applicable Specialism Delivering Deal Value Management Level Senior Associate Job Description & Summary About the role: We currently have a vacancy for a Financial Services Operations and/or IT specialist to work on fast-paced and often high-profile merger and acquisition (M&A) projects, as part of our market-leading Delivering Deal Value (DDV) team. The Delivering Deal Value (DDV) team consists of c.250 people who advise clients on the operational and strategic aspects of merger and acquisition (M&A) projects, acting as a strategic and trusted advisor to both Corporate and Private Equity clients on transactions ranging from £50 million to over £5 billion. DDV is a market leading team within PwC’s Consulting group and provides a highly complex, fast paced, challenging yet rewarding environment for those who aspire to grow and develop in their careers. DDV utilises its deep experience to assist our clients across industry sectors as they navigate potential/actual M&A transactions and drive activities across all operational aspects of the transaction, pre and post completion. We are able to quickly assimilate the key operational issues, synergies, risks and upsides around a transaction, to deliver results. You are likely to work on a range of the different types of projects we support our clients with, which includes but is not limited to : Buy and sell side operational due diligence Value creation strategy and planning Carve out and divestiture support Integration support Taking control and 100 day planning Post deal performance improvement What your days will look like: As a Senior Associate, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. You will be challenged to take on significant responsibility from the outset, including meeting with senior executives on high-profile engagements, and producing high-quality written reports articulating our findings to senior stakeholders. You will need to work to tight deadlines to understand and report on the operations-related opportunities, issues, costs and risks impacting the value of target businesses. Working within a dedicated project team, you will receive help, support and guidance from a senior member of the team.
