Full Time, Permanent, Hybrid (3 days in the office)
Salary: up to £45,000 depending on experience
Extra: OTE up to £54,000
Farnborough International is looking to strengthen its world-class team by recruiting a Senior Account Manager to work closely with the Head of Venue Sales to sell our exhibiting spaces to repeat and new customers.
Your goal is to help us grow into new markets and build on what is already a very successful base with the likes of the Air Show, Space Show, and 2025’s Sustainable Skies World Summit.
What will I be doing?
This Senior Account Manager is all about relationships; you will be building them with our current group of fantastic repeat clients and, as you grow, you will be doing new business development and finding new fantastic people to work with.
Selling the space is only the first part of the role; you will also be supporting the pre-event setup and the post-event review, working closely with internal teams to ensure that the clients are happy, satisfied, and willing to come back for next year!
Finally, the Senior Account Manager will be responsible for maximizing profit, but your main KPIs are safety, experience, cleanliness, fun, and courtesy & kindness. Providing an excellent client experience for your stakeholders is essential.
What will I need to be successful?
Significant experience as an account manager is essential for this role; this is a senior role and would be a brilliant step up for someone looking to grow and develop.
It is also important that you understand the industry we are in, so you will need to have come from the Events, Tourism, Leisure, or similar industry.
As well as the usual teamwork, organizational, and Microsoft Office skills, for your new role as a Senior Account Manager, we are also looking for:
1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
2. The ability to influence at a high level.
3. Cold calling and business development knowledge.
